When we receive goods in at DMC, we require a detailed packing list for all Pharmaceutical licensed products. This should include any batch code or expiry date applicable to each SKU. DMC staff will check and verify incoming stock against packing list information before product is shelved and added to inventory. Our main fulfilment warehouse is about 15 years old,  this is racked out for pallets and pick face shelving.

Because we are licensed by the MHRA (similar to the FDA in the US), and we hold certain pharmaceutical products for some customers, our warehouse has to be maintained to a very high standard, we have temperature sensors located throughout the warehouse which are monitored 24/7 by dedicated control software – this keeps the warehouse at an ambient temperature year round.  We have specialist rodent control in place (although we have never yet had a rodent of any kind!). We have 24 hour CCTV cameras both inside and outside the building, as well as a very sophisticated alarm system which is linked back to the local Police Station.  Needless to say, we also have a fully operational fire alarm system installed.

All the above are monitored, checked and verified at regular intervals by the MHRA.

DMC’s management system records all delivery information for incoming licensed products including SKU code, Batch code and expiry date. This combined with transaction data means that information can be recalled at any time in order to give end to end traceability.

If for any reason a given batch of licensed product has to be recalled, DMC’s management software can trace every order which has left the warehouse and can provide despatch date, delivery address, and quantity. This enables us to contact your customer and arrange a collection of any unsold stock, which would be returned to the warehouse and quarantined.
